Fender ‘57 Custom Deluxe 5E3

Fender’s ’57 Custom Deluxe is a faithful reproduction of the company’s famous Narrow-Panel 5E3 Deluxe built in the late 1950s. Handwired to original specifications, the ’57 Deluxe is wonderfully touch-sensitive and offers classic 5E3 Tweed Deluxe cream and breakup when opened up. There’s tons of bass presence and a fat treble-end, interactive volumes, and dynamic tone control – just like an original.

This example is near-mint but for an upgraded speaker. The Celestion Vintage 30 is a perfect choice for a Tweed Deluxe as it brings in significantly better bass handling and dynamic range, and adds a subtle edge of classic British midrange to the EQ.
