2006 Bashkin Bellezza GC

Serial # 4906. Michael Bashkin has earned many praises during his more than 10 years as a professional guitar builder. Based in Ft. Collins, Colorado, Bashkin builds instruments with design elements that synthesize the traditional and the ultra-modern. The Bellezza Grand Concert offered here is a masterfully built instrument, with ebony back and sides, Adirondack spruce top, French polish finish, and Florentine cut-away. The guitar features an X-braced back, and double-thickness sides for increased sustain and projection, and a lightly braced top with and asymmetrical bridge, for power and headroom. From the sunbursted spalted maple rosette, and expertly mitered Koa bindings to the front and rear headstock overlays of Brazillian rosewood, Bashkin spared no expense in appointing this guitar. Gold Waverly tuning machines with ebony buttons, three piece mahogany neck with carbon reinforcement, Maccassar ebony fingerboard, horn bridge-pins, and bone nut and compensated saddle. The body measures about 15-1/4" wide at the lower bout and is just about 4.5" deep at the endblock. 25.4" scale and 1-3/4" nut. In pristine and original condition, this guitar is as beautiful an instrument to behold as it is to play.
